Allison Butler

I am a 6th grade teacher in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. My school, John Beck Elementary, is located in Lititz, which is a small, rural community just outside of Lancaster city. I just finished my 4th year of teaching, and boy has the time flown. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was shaking in my boots, anxiously awaiting my students to come down the hall for my very first "first day" as a teacher.

Despite living here in Lancaster County for the past four years, I am not originally from the Amish country. My roots take me back to Bucks County where I grew up in Sellersville, Pennsylvania. I attended Pennridge High School, and furthered my education at Lebanon Valley College. I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education in 2007, and I just finished my first Masters of Education in December 2010 from Wilkes University. The focus of my degree was Educational Development and Strategies, and I am currently pursuing my second Masters of Education in Instructional Media. With the times changing, and technology becoming more prevalent in schools everywhere, I'm so excited to be learning about all these new things!

*Please see my links below to my various blogs...they include a few of the newest things in technology that I have been learning about and working with, along with various projects that I have completed:)
