Alan Brash

Auckland, New Zealand

For nearly twenty years Alan has been a screenwriter, story producer, script editor and story-liner in the New Zealand film and TV industry. He has over 100 hours of produced TV drama and comedy credits in these fields. He has also worked as a producer, development executive, screenwriting lecturer, and director.
His spec scripts have reached the finals, semi’s and quarter-finals of PAGE, Blue Cat, Write Movies, The People’s Pilot, and various short script competitions.
Alan wrote the short film, Be Careful…, and shot it in 2010, marking his debut as a director. It stars Craig Hall and Lisa Chappell, and has played at festivals throughout New Zealand.
Alan also worked as a production accountant on numerous feature films and TV series during the 1990’s (and again in 2010-2013), as well as doing stints as an actor and stand-up comedian. He has several projects at various stages of development (as writer, co-writer, and/or producer), including short films, features, and a live musical.

Alan is developing his first feature as writer and producer and will shortly make an exciting announcement about a live musical theater project he's creating and a graphic novel that's being produced.
