A resident of San Diego, California, Alex Hern is the founder and CEO of Tsunami XR, which provides a Software-as-a-Service virtual workspace where employees and executives can engage in group video conferences and interact independently or share content that they find engaging. Since its inception in 2014, Tsunami XR in San Diego County has been used by prominent businesses across a variety of industries ranging from automotive and healthcare to energy and consumer goods. Previously, Alex Hern served as the CEO of the messaging application Tags, Inc.
In the early 2000s, Alex Hern founded several successful tech-focused companies, including Agiliance, Inc., and ArcSight, Inc., the latter of which provided security events analysis and correlation and attracted investments from Samsung Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, and the Central Intelligence Agency's venture-capital arm. Mr. Hern is also the founder of Triton Network Systems, Inc.; Yesmail.com; and Milcom Technologies, Inc.; among others. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in business from Florida State University.
In his free time, he enjoys mentoring aspiring tech entrepreneurs, as well as sailing, exercising, and meditating.
