An experienced communications and technology executive, Alex Scroppo worked earlier in his career as a senior manager of new product engineering for DSC Communications Corporation. Subsequently joining the global technology developer and manufacturer Sanmina Corporation, he currently serves its Carrollton, Texas, office as senior vice president of the Backplane and Cable Division. Accountable for the division’s financial performance, Alex Scroppo has overseen continuous quarter-over-quarter profitability during his tenure. In his leadership role, he directs all operational dimensions for five production facilities in the United States, Europe, Mexico, and Asia, and handles a broad range of functions, including employee recruitment, capital outlay, quality assurance, and product delivery.

Outside of his work with Sanmina, Alex Scroppo enjoys maintaining cars and motorcycles, as well as engaging in such pursuits as long-distance cycling, mountaineering, and auto racing. With the BMW Club of Europe, he has taken several annual trips to Nürburg, Germany, where he drove on the Nürburgring, the world’s longest race track. Mr. Scroppo has also met Louis Zamperini, a World War II prisoner of war, Olympic runner, and the central figure in his favorite book, the Laura Hillenbrand-authored biography Unbroken.
