A financial risk management supervision professional, Alexander Stinemetz joined the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in 2016. Focusing on risk management supervision, he assesses the financial health of FDIC-covered institutions and their risk to the deposit insurance fund. Mr. Stinemetz graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor of arts in finance economics from Ohio Wesleyan University, where he was a member of several honors societies, including Omicron Delta Epsilon and Phi Beta Kappa. In addition, he completed a year abroad at Uppsala University in Sweden, where he studied international marketing and honed his Swedish language skills. To complement his academic achievements, he learned about lean principles and business analytics as an intern at Worthington Industries. Additionally, Alexander Stinemetz participated in a project analysis at Worthington to improve efficiency in such areas as labor management, freight diagnostics, and equipment performance.
