Professor Andrew Curran is a member of Romance Languages and Literatures Department at Wesleyan University. He serves as the William Armstrong Professor of the Humanities and Professor of French and was the Dean of Arts and Humanities from 2009 to 2013.

Having obtained his Ph.D. in French Literature from New York University in 1996, Professor Curran currently specializes in 18-century French history, culture, and thought, with interests in Enlightenment philosopher Denis Diderot, the history of race, and the history of medicine.
