A veteran doctor and medical director, Andrew Engler, MD, laid the foundation for his career by earning a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Stanford University. In his junior year, Dr. Andrew Engler attained membership in the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa honor society, ranking academically in the top 1.5 percent of his class.
After graduating from Stanford, Dr. Andrew Engler spent his pre-clinical years at Yale and then returned to Stanford University where he went on to receive his MD degree. He completed a medical internship and residency at the Stanford University Hospital. Additionally, he was selected to participate in an allergy preceptorship with the Allergy Clinic in Houston, Texas, which he completed in 1987.
That same year, Dr. Engler joined the Allergy and Asthma Clinic in San Mateo, California, where he currently serves as medical director. His primary areas of interest are innovative treatments for asthma, eczema, food allergies, hives, and hay fever. In addition to furnishing medical care to patients, Dr. Andrew Engler oversees a staff that includes two physicians, two nurse-practitioners, and several registered nurses (RNs) and licensed vocational nurses (LVNs).
