Andy Jordan

The principal of a high school in Illinois, Principal Andrew Jordan has been an educator for nearly 10 years. He began his career as a physical education and driver’s-ed teacher at West Prairie High School in Sciota, where he also coached varsity basketball, for six years before becoming assistant principal there. In this role, he maintained responsibility for the district-wide safety plan and handled the majority of student discipline issues. Principal Andrew Jordan later served as principal at West Carroll Elementary School, where he oversaw 454 students and a staff of 65. Principal Andrew Jordan is currently the principal of Donovan Jr. Sr. High School.
Mr. Jordan prides himself on making strong educational decisions that incorporate the feedback of stakeholders and encourage educational growth for the community. He holds a B.S. in kinesiology and physical education from Northern Illinois University and a M.A. in educational administration and an Ed.S. with a superintendency endorsement from Western Illinois University. He belongs to the Illinois Association of School Business Officials and is a member of his local Chamber of Commerce. In his free time, he stays active by playing basketball and golf.
