I am a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine with more than 40 years of experience serving the Quincy, Illinois community. I earned my DVM from the University of Missouri in 1975 and began my career at West Quincy Veterinary Clinic, where I built a strong foundation in animal care. In 1984, I founded Katherine Road Animal Hospital, which I led for over 30 years. During that time, I focused on maintaining high standards in both medicine and client communication. Our hospital became the first in the region to receive accreditation from the American Animal Hospital Association, a distinction we held for two decades.

Throughout my career, I treated a wide range of animals, including companion animals, exotics, and wildlife. One of my proudest efforts was developing a raptor rehabilitation program, where I helped care for injured birds of prey and trained others in wildlife treatment. I have always believed in listening closely to clients and continuing to learn as the field evolves. Beyond my work, I have stayed active in my community through service, mentoring, and involvement in my church.
