Andrew Sever, Sumsub co-founder and CEO, has a proven track record of leading and building exceptional teams and fostering smooth, effective collaboration in a fast-growing industry. Sumsub is an innovative digital verification platform that aims to solve all onboarding and compliance challenges. The comprehensive, AI-based solution automates anti-fraud processes and identifies verification to provide bank-grade KYB, KYC, and KYT compliance, AML screening, and fraud prevention to protect businesses and ensure compliance.

Mr. Sever, who founded Sumsub in 2015, leads the company’s business development, sales, operations, and global expansion. Under his leadership, the enterprise has grown from a small startup to one of the world’s leading verification platforms with eight international offices, over 750 employees, and more than 4,000 clients worldwide. Industries including fintech, trading, transportation, gaming, and crypto are already adopting Sumsub’s solutions.

Before founding Sumsub, Mr. Sever worked as a C-suite manager at leading automotive and IT firms and retains a passion for HR-related topics. He holds a degree in theoretical physics and is a seasoned sportsman. As well as enjoying a variety of water sports, he regularly participates in both Ironman and Oceanman tournaments. The latter is an open-water swimming competition that tests athletes in extremely challenging marine conditions.

Mr. Sever lives in London and Limassol and loves to travel, something that both his work and participation in sporting events afford him plenty of opportunities to enjoy. He also likes to read, particularly non-fiction books on the subject of neuroscience.
