I am a third year Bachelor of Education student at the University of Johannesburg. I am interested in teaching learners from all walks of life especially learners that come from rural areas as I also come from a village in Limpopo. I enjoy critically engaging with my peers/colleagues in my classes on political and social topics which provides me with a different viewpoint because I believe I can learn more from others . In the teaching and learning process I believe learners engage more with teachers that are relatable, therefore I aim to be authentic and real in order to create the best learning experience for learners. I spend most of my personal time on social media, more especially Instagram and Twitter. I also enjoy listening to podcasts on self-love and growth. I am interested in understanding how it is important for people to practice self-love and value themselves and also see their worth. These are some of the qualities I intend on teaching young girls and boys in schools, because I believe it can boost their confidence.

Social Media Accounts I follow:

DE’ Marcus Shawn - https://www.instagram.com/artbydemarcusshawn. He creates enjoyable creative content on the lives of teachers and learners and how they act in the classroom.

5-Minute Crafts – https://www.instagram.com/5.min.crafts. This page creates 5 minutes crafts that are enjoyable to watch and very educational . They are interesting to me as a teacher as I can also implement some of the crafts in the classroom.

Podcasts I listen to on Spotify:
