A management consultant who is nationally recognized for his leadership in the education and nonprofit sectors, Dr. Ari Betof has authored numerous works in the field and developed a pilot program for the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education (PennGSE) titled Educational Finance and Organizational Sustainability. Dr. Ari Betof regularly is invited to give presentations on these topics as well as serving as a lecturer at PennGSE.

In 2018, Dr. Betof became the president of his own consulting firm specializing in assisting schools and nonprofit groups in developing financially sustainable strategies. Prior to heading Organizational Sustainability Consulting, LLC, he served as a head of school. His previous experience includes working with the George School and Northfield Mount Hermon School.

Dr. Betof has served as a mentor in Harvard University Graduate School of Education’s School Leadership Program and as a leadership development curriculum consultant. While in graduate school, he also contributed to research evaluation efforts on financial and instructional programs at The School at Columbia University.

Ari earned his doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a B.S. in physics and mathematics from the Guilford College honors program. His 2011 doctoral dissertation, “Leading in the Light: A Study of Financial and Organizational Sustainability of Friends Schools,” was awarded with distinction. Ari is an executive MBA candidate in Cornell University’s Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management where he is an Emerging Markets Institute Fellow.
