Technology-Enabled Clinician | Health-Tech Consultant | Writer
I am a nursing professional with 19 years of experience across India, Canada, and the UK. My career is defined by a commitment to advancing patient care through two primary pillars: advanced clinical reasoning and technological innovation.
Currently, I serve as a Technology-Enabled Virtual Ward Clinician at Whittington Health NHS Trust. In this role, I work at the forefront of the "Hospital at Home" movement—remotely monitoring acute patients to ensure they receive safe, high-quality care in the comfort of their own homes.
A Global Clinical Foundation
My journey began in 2007 in the high-pressure environment of a Neuro-Surgical ICU. This role forged my clinical discipline and sparked a lifelong interest in how we monitor the most vulnerable patients. Seeking to share this knowledge, I transitioned into nursing education and leadership, eventually serving as the Principal of an ANM School of Nursing in India, where I managed the recruitment and curriculum for the next generation of healthcare workers.
In 2012, I expanded my horizons to Canada, pursuing an Intensive Care Unit program while working as a Clinical Instructor. During this time, I co-authored a Physical Assessment manual and delivered advanced top-up courses for Registered Nurses, deepening my understanding of the professional scope of practice.
Entrepreneurship & Health-Tech
Between 2015 and 2019, I entered the world of healthcare operations as the Vice President of Clinical Operations for a multi-city home healthcare provider in India. Managing a team of 16 Clinical Coordinators and over 600 patients, I identified a critical gap in how home-based care was documented.
To solve this, I:
Developed a comprehensive "Care Needs Assessment" template.
Led the creation of a custom care management software built on the SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, Plan) nursing model.
Scaled operations across five cities, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care in a decentralized environment.
The NHS & Advanced Practice
Since relocating to the UK in 2020, I have integrated my international experience into the NHS framework, working across Outpatient and Acute Surgical Wards. I believe that proficiency in physical assessment is the cornerstone of patient safety.
To stay at the cutting edge, I recently completed my Level 7 History Taking and Physical Assessment training at the University of West London. I am now pursuing Level 7 Diagnostics and Reasoning Skills to further my ability to provide autonomous, high-standard care within the Whittington Health community.
Writing & Perspectives
Beyond the ward, I am a writer, consultant, and keen observer of politics, technology, and entrepreneurship. I believe the future of healthcare requires a multidisciplinary approach—combining the "human touch" of nursing with the efficiency of modern software and enterprise.
Let’s Connect. Whether you’re interested in the future of virtual wards, clinical governance, or the intersection of nursing and software, I’d love to connect.
