I'm a full time student at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). I was born in a town 39.4 times physically smaller than Athens. While in high school, I played trombone, baritone, and suosaphone in marching band for 5 years (8th grade included). I am a member of the Boy Scouts of America. I was awarded my Eagle Scout in 2011 with 41 merit badges and that same school year while I was low brass section leader, the marching band won the title of silver division grand champions.I graduated that spring with honors and went to college the following autumn.
My writing is greatly influenced by the things I read. My favorite author Douglas Adams, for instace, gave me the necessary tools for breaking out of the common form of writing and taught me that reading and writing can be enjoyable if that's what you make of it. I also enjoy the works of Whitman, Emerson, Thoreau, Tennyson, and Carroll (to name the poets). Some of favorite authors have been John Green, Philip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov, Roald Dahl, and Madeline L'Engle. These are the people who taught me to enjoy what I'm doing even if it's pounding out a 1,000 word essay in less than 8 hours.
