Ben Waters, trader, has managed a portfolio of real money and invested in stocks and options since 2012. His equities strategies encompass fundamental analysis, DCF and multiples valuation, while his options strategies involve debit spreads, outright calls, credit spreads and horizontals spreads. The profits Mr Waters made from his trading activities funded his university tuition and living costs.

Since March 2019, Benjamin Waters, trader, has worked as an equity delta one trader in Global Indices/MSCI in London. In this role, he trades in Developed Markets and Emerging Markets (with a focus on the latter).

From June 2014 to June 2015, Mr Waters managed a £70,000 fund of real money for the University of Auckland Investment Club Inc (based in New Zealand) in his capacity as an investment analyst. He performed so well in this role that he received the 2014 to 2015 Outstanding Performance by a UAIC Investment Committee Manager award for his work.

Mr Waters holds a BSc degree in accounting and finance and cites his key professional skills as having a sharp eye for alpha opportunities, with an appetite to take on reasonable risks to achieve outsized returns, as well as having the ability to liaise and lead within a wider team. When he’s not working, he enjoys a diverse range of sports including basketball, tennis and sailing.
