Beth Olson

I’m a photographer with an education and work history in graphic design and social marketing. I focus on supporting small businesses and local artists who want to connect with their audience in exciting and creative ways. I stay very involved in group projects which aim to improve the livelihoods of creative people through collaboration. I’m passionate about the success of small and local business and you can often find me working on projects which support a community of empowerment and education over competition.

Currently, I run operations (and cameras) for Beth Olson Creative and Twisted Aisle Weddings (my photography business for non-traditional weddings). I’m also a founder of the F1 Society: Photographer’s Professional Learning Network here in Portland and active member of more than a half dozen creative groups.

••• I’m proud to be a body positive photographer, a passionate supporter of marriage equality, and advocate for human and animal rights whenever possible.

••• I adore nerd culture. Currently my husband and I have a bit of an obsession with backing new tabletop games on Kickstarter.

••• I believe few things are better than a hoppy beer paired with the right bourbon- But if it gets over 90 degrees I will totally drink cold pink wine.

••• I usually listen to loud rock or metal while I edit photos though I’ve been known to blast musical theater soundtracks in the car with the windows down.

••• I have a bit of a potty mouth when I’m not working with clients and probably owe my 9 year old niece enough Swear Jar change to send her to college.

••• I have a passionate love/hate/love relationship with horror movies.
