A respected New York based photographer, Bjorn Iooss began his photographic career as a young teenager in New York. He learnt his craft from growing up with his father, a phoERtographer with Sports Illustrated for more than 50 years. With a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design, and his background in analog darkroom techniques, he brings a deep understanding of the photographic process into his editorial and advertising work. His images, stylized yet not staged, explore the borders of the photojournalistic genre, combining elements of the decisive moment with the reflection and certainty of the classic portrait.

In addition to this work, Mr. Iooss maintains a blog that preserves personal moments in his life and adds additional context to his overall body of work. Featuring numerous empty beaches and images of nature, the blog evokes a solitary, quiet feeling.
