Tom & Deni Peterson
Tom and Deni Peterson have been growing food together for the past 25 years. They have created gardens in Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Vermont, Illinois, and now in Abingdon, Virginia. Together with their twin sons, Kaleb and Mason, they are growing fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits and flowers on their one & a half acre garden at the Blue Door.
Using the strictest of organic guidelines they have created an ecological method of growing that stems from healthy soil, a diversity of beneficial insect habitats, and a love of nature and education.
