Passionate BBQer. Past KCBS competitor, made it into the Top Ten (was actually 9th) in Ribs at the Illinois State BBQ Championship awhile back, up against some tough national competitors. Not 1st Place, but respectable nonetheless.

When I first began BBQing, I couldn't find a sauce that would compliment the meat I spent so many hours cooking. So, I had to create one. Originally, I intended to make a sauce for my own use. Slowly, through trial and error, a great flavor developed. At last I arrived at the taste I was seeking. It had a "classic" BBQ flavor, but was different than anything else on the market. I thought it was awesome. My family, friends and clients agreed. Before long my BBQ sauce was the "House Sauce" at one of the most presitigious private clubs in the Midwest (where I cooked) and has since been served elsewhere, to the great delight of many millions of tastebuds! Thanks to encouragement from many, Bobby Z's BBQ Sauce will soon be available to all.
