Rapper. Singer. Songwriter. Producer. Washington, DC’s BORN I MUSIC aka Born Infinite is the definition of “prolific”. After releasing classic material with his former group Shambhala (Google “Shambhala: The Lotus Of…”), Born I Music has branched out on his own, adopting a sound that cateres to his diverse influences: hip hop, electronica, pop and world music.

After the release of his mixtape “RE:Born“, Born released his visionary debut album “Tomorrow is Today“. The success of the album and his reputation for cutting edge fashion landed him several endorsement deals, with Heyday Footwear, Kennett Watches (UK), Industry Made streetwear and Reven/Spilled Milk streetwear (Bangkok) to name a few.

After returning from Thailand at the start of summer 2011, (where he began his collaborative relationship with Thai supergroup Thaitanium), Born co-executive produced Heyday Footwear’s “The Heyday Mixtape” (which boast Born’s single Limelight, featuring Mobb Deep). High profile collaborations continued throughout the summer, including an official club remix of pop superstars Hot Chelle Rae’s top ten hit “Tonight Tonight” featuring Born I Music. The remix was released via the band’s blog on 9/6/11.

Arguably one of the hardest working and most versatile independent artists making music today, Born I Music prepares to set the bar higher with his highly anticipated free album “King of Kings“, dropping late fall 2011 via his imprint G&D-NewSinatra, aka Guns & Doves.

“My music is about balancing the opposites that exist in my life. That’s what the “Guns & Doves” philosophy is about. If I want to be rich, so that I can help others with my wealth, is that wrong? I don’t think it is, but I don’t really know. My music is about trying to figure how to make all the different impulses I have work together in a way that lifts people up, and hopefully doesn’t destroy me or anyone else in the process”- Born I Music
