Brandon Guest

Duke University alumnus Brandon Guest earned his bachelor's degree from the school. Soon after his graduation, he started working as a sales producer at BlueCross BlueShield South Carolina, where he was tasked with developing relationships with brokers and acquiring major group accounts for the insurance company. He served in this capacity for four years and earned Exceptional Producer status in each of those years. In 1990, Brandon Guest established an employee benefit consulting and administration firm in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.
Through 21 years as owner of Horne/Guest, he drove success to the agency to achieve $3.5 million in revenue via innovative benefit plans and communication strategies as well as community involvement and employee training efforts. While managing the agency, he earned a master's degree in health administration from the Medical University of South Carolina and obtained a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist designation from Wharton University.
Since 2011, he has served as an area president at Gallagher Benefit Services, Inc. In addition to developing new sales ideas, he has been instrumental in helping the agency reduce regulatory burden and reduce cost. Complementing three decades of employee benefits program management experience, he holds membership with the International Foundation of Employee Benefits and the Society for Human Resource Management.
