As first vice president and wealth management advisor with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, a subsidiary of Bank of America, Brett Malamet brings to his position a decade of diverse executive experience in the financial sector. At Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, he directs the Malamet Group, an investment banking initiative offering hands-on consulting and financial management services. Brett Malamet transitioned to this role in 2009, having joined Bank of America in 2005 as global wealth & investment manager, vice president of private banking & investments, and senior client manager. While with the company, he has won the Chairmans Club award multiple times.
Brett Malamet initiated his career in 2003 as a financial advisor trainee with Morgan Stanley. He subsequently accepted a position as a private banker with Wells Fargo, where he remained until 2005. During this time, he provided consulting and financial analysis services, expanding the firm's client base and developing strong relationships with his customers. In acknowledgment of his accomplishments with Wells Fargo, he received the regional Private Banker award in 2004.
Mr. Malamet holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Nevada, Reno. In addition to his work with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Brett Malamet enjoys engaging in an array of recreational interests, including boating, wakeboarding, skiing, and playing golf.
