Photography, oh how I love the art of capturing light and form. Strangely enough, it wasn't the career path I had expected to end up in, as well as enjoy so much. As the 90's were coming to a fascinating end, Y2K and all, I had made the transition into taking pictures from a long, or so it seemed long, career as a sous chef. My passion and love was really for painting and sculpture, which is what got me through the days after I finished long grueling hours in the kitchen. Then one afternoon on the only day off a week I had, my best friend of many years suggested we take a photography class at the Jr. College. After sitting in and asking the professor if we could add the class, we both now were on a new and awe inspiring path. At the end of 2 semesters the professor recommended that we apply to art school to continue growing in our new found skill.

After just over 2 years at the California College of the Arts in Oakland, with a BFA in Photography, I packed what little items I possessed and moved to New York City. 9 years later, I'm still here, shooting, living, loving every day.
