Brittanee Slack

Volunteer, fashion, and wardrobe stylist in Atlanta, Georgia

I am not the biggest fan of biography writing or updating my resume. I have been in love with magazines forever and I would always find a way to redo the trends in magazines for a cheaper rate then most people are willing to pay for. Since I am cheap it has been a challenge over the years to find looks that are not only affordable but that set the bar for something new.

This will be the hardest part for me to write. I didn't want to go to college. I attended Cosmetology School briefly and I picked up a newsletter on break and found information on a school called AIU. It seemed like it wouldn't be the average college experience which is the main reason why I picked this college out of the millions of others that I could have chosen.

As I attended college I realized the real test was not the the last day of school but actually the first day I was an alumni. I have done countless internships with countless local and nationwide companies and even assisted with fashion shows and fashion companies but I felt that something was missing. I worked on a project on the last weeks of me attending college which convinced me that wardrobe styling would be for me and there was nothing anyone could do about it.

A lot of people may wonder why fashion when I have done exceptionally well with web designing and social media managering. I managed multiple campaigns and received four times the regular salary in my area without any training. The funny part is I taught myself everything and I can currently make more money in the field of web design and social media then I can in my current career.

I love challenges because I become bored very easy. I believe that in any field of work or dream there has to be a challenge. As I got into the fashion industry I realized how many options I had and really started to dig deep into the local and nationwide fashion industry.

I didn't accept all the opportunities that were offered yet they were not denied. I had to consider what would look good on my resume based on the direction I was going.

Fashion became more exciting and so did I yet still something was missing and that was the funds which is why I had to find side work.Independent Contracting jobs have allowed me to accomplish many more things then a 9 to 5 pm job would and I have also learned a lot.

I am on my way so look out for Britt Britt The Stylist. I will be coming to a city near you.
