Broadway Theatre Group
Broadway Theatre Project is a nonprofit organization that hosts a renowned annual musical theatre training program in Tampa, Florida for high school and college students. The three-week program offers courses that focus on acting, dance, and voice, preparing students for a variety of careers in the performing arts industry. Highly praised by Playbill, Broadway Theatre Project has produced numerous successful alumni, many of whom credit their accomplishments to lessons learned from the program's resident and guest artist instructors.
Featured in over seventy Broadway shows, as well as tours, films, and television programs around the world, the alumni of Broadway Theatre Project are a testament to the success of the program. In addition to the connections that students make with the resident and guest artists, who work in performing arts careers worldwide, students to the program also often find musical theater positions alongside their classmates. Cameron Adams, Paige Faure Finger, Erica Mansfield, and Ryan Watkinson, all graduates of Broadway Theatre Project, are currently playing roles in Broadway's How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Additional program alums have starred in Broadway's Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Catch Me If You Can, and The Little Mermaid.
Over two decades ago, Co-Artistic Director and President Debra McWaters founded Broadway Theatre Project.
