Sometimes it all still feels like a mass of dots. But more and more these days, I feel like we're all connected. And it's beautiful... and funny... and good.
I love the outdoors. I love to go camping and hiking. I can sit at the banks of the St Vrain River just outside of Lyons forever! I kind of got set in my ways to early in life. My friends and family call me "old man", because I can be a little old fashioned. I'm changing that and pushing myself to do new things, and to experience everything life has to offer. I live to make myself a better person than I was the day before.
My faith has always been at the center of my life. When I was a young kid, I remember being at an assembly where a song writer was performing for us. I loved the music so much that I was praying through the performance because I wanted to share with God what I was hearing.
The Bible says you will know a tree by the fruit that it bares. A good tree bears good fruit, and a bad tree bears bad fruit. "...love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control...". When you are living your life right, these are the "fruits" that your life produces. I try to surround myself with people that exhibit these traits. "When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these". I'm learning more to watch out more for these "bad fruits" in my own life, and in the people I choose to spend it with.
I am a simple person. I am more than happy just being in the company of good people, sitting and talking.
