Telecommunications entrepreneur Shelby Bryan introduced voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) technology in the United States in 2000 with the founding of Pingtone Communications. He aims to guide the company in a successful trajectory all while pursuing startup opportunities within the software and Internet industries. Prior to creating Pingtone, Shelby Bryan served as the CEO of ICG Communications and Millicon International. During his tenure with the latter, he launched the first cellular network in the country and established global subsidiaries in more than 20 countries.

In addition to his professional experience, Shelby Bryan holds a BA and JD from the University of Texas at Austin. He focused his legal studies in corporate law and taxation, and assisted Ralph Nader with various environmental projects shortly after graduation. Building upon his education, Mr. Bryan completed an MBA at the Harvard Business School, graduating in the top of his class. He published an article on conglomerate mergers in the Harvard Law Journal.
