You don't hear a lot of good news but the 1 to 1000 initiative from Adventure Project and about.me and sponsored by the excellent TPRF is exactly that. It focuses attention on the exciting work of developing the economy of rural Africa from the ground up. Small farmers are being supported in a sustainable way that respects them and the productive work that they do. Enabling people to get from poverty to prosperity while retaining their dignity is simply a good thing to do. I would urge anybody to support this. theadventureproject.org
