Michael Kaufman

Buy Your Coins began as the brainchild of coin collector and dealer Michael Kaufman, who started his own coin collection as a young boy. He received a box of coins as a gift from his father but did little with it until his high school years, during which time he had begun collecting other items such as fossils and baseball cards. He began spending time with a local coin expert and visiting an uncle who was an avid collector, and he began to learn about grading coins, the various types, and values of different coins.

Since that time, he has transformed his hobby into a career. He established his company to make connections with collectors and potential sellers across the New York Finger Lakes region, through which he travels regularly in search of rare and valuable coins and collections.
