Caitlin Cruz
Seattle, Washington, United States
I am an award-winning multimedia journalist with experience in digital media, newspapers and television based in Seattle.
Currently, I'm the first David Boardman Investigative Reporting Intern at The Seattle Times, where I report on Seattle officials and the interaction between mental health laws and guns. I was chosen out of 45 applicants for an internship created to honor Boardman's commitment to investigative and accountability journalism.
I graduated summa cum laude in May 2014 with concurrent master's and bachelor's degrees from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
My daily and enterprise reporting has been published across the country, including The Seattle Times, The Arizona Republic, the Center for Public Integrity, The Times-Picayune and the Philadelphia Inquirer.
I'm available for employment in September 2014.
Stuff I like besides journalism: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Tony Stark, red lipstick, tacos, New York Yankees, typography and memoirs.
