Caree Annette Harper

In 1997, attorney Caree Annette Harper graduated from Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga with her Bachelor of Arts in Business. She was accepted to the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, where she received her Juris Doctor, passing the bar examination immediately after graduation. Today she holds membership in the State Bar of California’s Criminal Law Section, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the John M. Langston Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. At her private practice, the Law Office of Caree Harper, Ms. Harper has dedicated her career to serving those who have had their civil rights violated, as well as those involved in felony and misdemeanor cases.

Licensed to practice in the State of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Court in the Central and Southern Districts of California, attorney Caree Annette Harper takes a wide variety of cases. She devotes herself entirely to each one, maintaining consistent client interaction and defending every client aggressively. She is undefeated at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, having won her most recent oral arguments in February 2011.

Caree Annette Harper also works for social good, contributing regularly to the Special Olympics and the Democratic Party. Known for her commitment to pro bono work, she was recognized in the County of Los Angeles when she received the Shirley Fields Volunteer Award. The award recognized her for dedicating almost 50 percent of her time to providing people in need with attorney representation during one year. During the presidential election in 2008, Caree Annette Harper calculated ballots of voters who were unconstitutionally turned away from the polls. Prior to opening her own practice, Caree Annette Harper acted as a certified paralegal for various law firms, including those involved in construction defect cases and insurance defense.
