Catherine Lückhoff is the co-founder and CEO of 20fifty - an AWS Partner that combines a passion for problem solving with serverless cloud technology, human centered design, and AI powered solutions to build world-class products that shape our collective future for the better.
In her career Catherine has gained extensive experience in founding and leading companies, raising investment, identifying new opportunities and solving problems. She has been named as one of the Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans; was recognised for Topco’s Top Women in Business and Government; awarded the Most Innovative Woman in Cloud in 2019; included in Destiny Magazine’s Power of 40 under 40; and named as one of SA Women Making It Big In Tech by Fin24.
Outside of work, Catherine is a seasoned mentor, speaker and presenter. She has spoken at a plethora of international and national conferences, including: AWS Summit CPT, Tech4Africa, Midem, MLOVE; SXSW, GSMA Connected Women, Global Media Forum, Digital Futures Society Summit, Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa, #FastForward, AfricaCom, Arctic15 and more. She is proud to mentor for Kiuas (Finland) and occupies a seat on the Advisory Board for Wallifornia - an Entertainment and Technology hub based in Belgium, where startups, professionals and investors together develop the future of their industries. In 2019 Catherine completed the MIT Sloane School of Business Management Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy course and in 2022 she spent 90 days in Finland as part of the #90DayFinn programme.
