Cedric Solomon, professionally known as Ced Solo, is a Grammy nominated record producer and musician from Estill, South Carolina. Ced discovered his passion for music when he was nine-years-old when he was called upon to play the piano and organ for Church services. With his passion for the art, he naturally fell into the position of Minister of Music for seven years and expanded his talents with the saxophone, drums, bass guitar and electric guitar. After high school, his pursuit of a successful music career led him to New York where he struggled with homelessness for several months. As a starving musician, he saved donations from the subways of New York City to purchase business cards. He eventually landed a job as a janitor at Planet Sound Studios that gave him the opportunity to display his talents. Within six months he went from a janitor to being requested as a performer. During that time, Ced landed his own studio production room creating tracks for up-and-coming artist. The following year, Ced received his first placement on Christopher Williams “A Man’s Cry’s” album and a placement on Anthony Hamilton’s Grammy Nominated Platinum selling album “Coming From Where I’m From”. That same year, Ced Solo achieved professional success by signing a publishing deal with Universal. Since then, he has recorded placements with award winning artists such as Kelly Rowland, Heather Headley, Ginuwine, Sebastian Cole, and Sarah Conner.
