CEIL BOUCHET A cultural connector with 20 years experience sparking adventure and promoting understanding by covering destinations with a deep sense of place through the lens of art, food, wine, spirits and well-being, Bouchet writes regularly for the New York Times, the Washington Post, National Geographic Traveler, @NatGeoTravel, Saveur and many others. A graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, the University of Bordeaux's "DUAD" professional wine studies program and Drew University, she has lived and worked for long periods in China, Italy and France and speaks the language of these countries. A multicultural person from Iowa, Bouchet has been married to her French husband for over 20 years and has two globetrotting teenagers. She received a Silver Prize from the North American Travel Journalists Association for her Washington Post Magazine feature article "A Richer Bordeaux" and is working on her upcoming memoir, "The Bordeaux Diaries" about her family's wine-soaked year living in France's most radiant city.
