Douglas Peters

The Chamber is a private, not-for-profit 501 C (6) organization driven by the leadership of the business community it serves.

The Chamber is a partner in economic development with local government and utilities and leverages that partnership to create jobs and wealth in the area.

Peters has served as President & CEO of the Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce and it's successor organization, GreaterFindlayInc. as well as Director, Small Business Development, Executive Vice President and President & CEO of the Richmond-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce in Indiana.

Prior to that, Peters served as Director, Small Business Development Center with the Dayton (Ohio) Area Chamber of Commerce. Peters is a graduate of the Institutes for Organization Management (IOM) at the University of Notre Dame and was selected by his peers as the Chamber Executive of the Year in the State of Ohio in 2008.

Peters has led efforts to create quality improvement initiatives in partnership with academia, the US Military and business; co-founded a venture capital initiative and provided small business counseling and management assistance resources to hundreds of small and emerging businesses across the United States.

In his current role, Peters has completed a financial restructuring of a $2.1 million organization and has formalized accountability measures within his organization.

With 25 years of experience, Peters understands strategy development, execution and deployment - as well as result measurement.

Peters background in fine arts led to a brief stint with a graphics company in Ohio where he principally led the organization's turnaround.
