Vida Jaugelis

Vida Jaugelis currently is pastor of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in North Vancouver. Before stepping into her current role, she served the BC Synod as intentional interim pastor and as a healthcare chaplain for over ten years in both acute and residential care settings.
"I love worshipping in community because that is how and where I am reminded that darkness, death and evil do not have the last word and where I am encouraged to conquer fear and cynicism by stepping out in risk-taking love."
Vida lives with Algis on the banks of the Fraser River. When she isn't in church she has her head buried in a newspaper or reading and learning from the wealth of knowledge available online. When she needs break she loves going for walks or pulling weeds and delights in spending time with her grandchildren and looking at the world afresh through their eyes.
