Charles Ptak

Maintaining a private dental practice since 1983, Charles Ptak, D.D.S., serves patients from his office located at 92 Norman Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. Specializing in oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Charles Ptak strives to enhance patient oral health through the provision of modern dental implants, treatment of oral infections, extraction of impacted wisdom teeth, and performance of root canals with root-end resection, among other procedures.

Dr. Ptak embarked on his career as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon after completing his three-year residency at New York City's St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in 1983. He had previously completed his general practice dental residency at St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, New York. Dr. Ptak attended the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Science in 1979.

Charles Ptak's undergraduate education began at the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science with honors. Initially an active duty Marine Engineer in the United States Navy and Merchant Marine from 1969 to 1973, he transitioned to a reservist, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander in 1990.

Charles Ptak belongs to several professional organizations, including the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the American Dental Association, the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the 2nd District Dental Society of Brooklyn. Dr. Ptak is a fellow in the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
