Charles Sun is a highly innovative and experienced ICT expert and executive with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, has consistently provided the state of the art, innovative, and cutting edge ICT solutions with a proactive vision and common sense to many organizations in the United States.

Considered as the IPv6 thought leader in the federal government and a visionary and leader in promoting global adoption of IPv6, Mr. Sun has been serving as the Technology Co-Chair of the Federal IPv6 Task Force and hosting a monthly Federal IPv6 Technical Roundtable since 2014, writing and speaking publicly about IPv6 and its impact on the future of Internet and cybersecurity. He was nominated in 2015 for the first FedScoop Digital Innovation Award. In 2016, he was elected to the GITEC Board. In 2017, he was named as one of the Top Ten Influencers for the Internet of Things by IT Chronicles. Since 2018, he has been serving as an Advisory Board Member for MIDA Institute and Foundation, a Board Member for AFFIRM, and a Columnist for Homeland Security Today magazine.

In addition to writing and publishing articles on the subjects related to the global adoption of the IPv6 and its impact on the future of Internet, such as IoT, SDN, blockchain, Mr. Sun has also spoken and been invited to speak at the national and international conferences on various topics related to IPv6 and other emerging technologies, including IPv6, IoT, cloud computing and software-defined information technology.

As the SME in Cloud Computing, SDN, NFV, IPv6, IoT, large enterprise converged voice, video, & data networks design, planning, testing, implementation, and IT project management, Mr. Sun also served previously as Director of IT Engineering & Operations at the Export-Import Bank of United States, Senior Advisor for Emerging Technologies and Branch Chief at the Census Bureau of U.S. Department of Commerce, and Branch Chief at U.S. Department of Labor.
