Marine biologist. Shark scientist. Field researcher. Educator. Predator ecologist. Science communicator. Presenter. Passionate about nature, science and our oceans.

Charlotte is a marine biologist with an interest in misunderstood predators. Her main research focus is on sharks, particularly open-ocean pelagic sharks (like mako, oceanic white-tips and blue sharks). For her PhD research Charlotte looked at where sharks are, why they are there and how this has, and will, change over time - kinda like time travel. Charlotte also examined if our marine reserves are located in the best places to protect our sharks.

Charlotte is actively engaged in exploration and starting 'conservation conversations' about our oceans, sharks and other predators (both on land and sea). Having traveled and presented extensively (40+ countries and counting) and lived on three continents, Charlotte regularly presents to a variety of interested groups worldwide, both in English and Mandarin Chinese in person and online. Charlotte also publishes scientific and non-scientific articles on on all things predator related, particularly sharks and all things marine.
