I’m Chelsea Lovece, a mental health professional and educator based in New York. As Director of Mental Health Services at EF Academy New York, I work to support students’ emotional wellbeing and help create a school environment where young people feel heard, understood, and equipped to grow. I’m also a Youth Mental Health First Aid instructor with the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in social work from Long Island University and my master’s degree in social work from Stony Brook University, graduating with a 4.0 GPA in both programs. My experience includes counseling internships at Dowling College and Momma’s House, where I supported homeless pregnant youth. I also worked as a family therapist at Harmony Heights Residential School.

My professional interests include youth mental health, social-emotional learning, emotional literacy, crisis intervention, and school counseling leadership. I’m especially interested in developing counseling programs and curricula that respond to students’ needs. I value collaboration among schools, families, and communities because meaningful support takes a shared effort.

Mindfulness and intentional living shape how I approach my work. I aim to bring care, clarity, and practical support to the young people and school communities I serve.
