Cherrylyn Mae Tarun
I am Cherrylyn Mae Valentino Tarun, people call me Che, Cherry and Cherrylyn. Cherrylyn in the corporate industry when I am sending and receiving emails, Cherry to my teachers and HR (as I wrote the same in the resume) while Che or Che-che to my dearest family and friends. Actually, I prefer the last one for there’s some sweetness in it. I knew that I am dear to a person when they call me that way.
I am a daughter of God crafted in his image and one of God’s masterpiece bought at the highest price where the highest form of my Savior’s love was marveled in the “cross.”
I am a licensed Accountant who finished my humble degree in one of the known University in the country. Currently, I had the privileged of working as one of the Corporate Junior Accountant in a Chemical Tanker Industry.
I am the eldest daughter in children of three. Having said that, I am a person whom God shaped to embrace maturity at an early age. I grew up with my mom and my younger sisters while my father was working kilometers away from us. Little did I know that these are all preparations when my father be with the Lord at the age of 56. Today, I am not the bread winner in the family but I join hands with my mother in our finances while sending my younger sister in college.
People say I am a loving daughter and a sister, to which I humbly agree. I realized that we must all appreciate the gift of having and being a part of a family. That this is the first ladder before we could have our own someday. Not unless we appreciate our present family, we could never learn how to treasure we would all wish to establish someday. The process will seem to repeat itself. I also learned that as long as we can see, hug and kiss them, let us give all that we’ve got. We will never know how short the time flew and that time will come they finally have to leave us. Never come to a point where you’ll regret all the chances that you have just because you prefer to be with someone or something else rather than them. Let it be a habit to tell them how much you love them. Before we could utter these words to our future partner someday, why not whisper it first to your father, mother, sister or a brother. Well just a thought.
They say that I am sweet. Maybe I was just living the meaning of my name. I love preparing surprises to my love ones. Surprises that is what thrills me. My family had been one of the greatest proofs on that.
