During his time as the owner of Chris's American Restaurant (Fiddler's Restaurant), Chris Bruno donated food, service, and financial resources to many charities. When Chris Bruno purchased the site in 1990, it was well-known as Fiddler’s Restaurant—an inviting, casual Irish pub.To show its commitment to an earth-friendly lifestyle, Chris's American Restaurant (Fiddler's Restaurant) participated in 2009's Brookfield, CT Goes Green Block Party. At this event, Chris Bruno and a group of other local business owners shared energy-efficient ways to use technology.

When he is not creating cuisine in the kitchen or consulting on menu and design choices for new restaurants like 189 Sports Cafe, Chris Bruno contributes to charitable efforts in Connecticut and beyond. Chris Bruno has served as both President and Vice President for Family & Children's Aid, Inc. He led the Board of the organization from 1999 to 2006, and was re-elected in 2010.

The mission of Family & Children's Aid's is to assist children in need. Family & Children's Aid provides counseling services, foster care, adoption, in-home care, and other important services. Chris Bruno has assisted in the growth of the organization, enabling it to reach its humanitarian goals. In addition to Family & Children's Aid, Chris Bruno has also contributed to the The Ryan McElroy Children's Cancer Foundation, a noble charity aiming to assist children who suffer from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Giving back to the community that supported Chris's American Restaurant (Fiddler's Restaurant) for many years, Chris Bruno of Brookfield, CT, continues to be a positive presence in the community.
