Holding a bachelor’s in English from Salisbury University and a JD from the Franklin Pierce Law Center (now the University of New Hampshire School of Law), J. Christopher (Chris) Llinas has nearly two decades of experience practicing as a corporate, prosecuting, and defense attorney. He has worked for such law offices as Pine Tree Legal Assistance and Worcester County State’s Attorney’s Office. Additionally, Chris Llinas maintained his own private practice in Ocean Pines, Maryland, for four years, where he focused on civil work and later criminal and traffic defense, before joining Royal Plus, Inc., as corporate counsel in 2007.

Chris Llinas is currently in private practice again. He returned to private practice after leaving Royal Plus in 2014. He now provides criminal, DUI, and traffic defense while also handling general civil and construction litigation and appeals.

Outside of work, J. Christopher Llinas is an avid endurance athlete. Since 2000, he has completed 14 marathons, including 10 road runs and 2 trail runs, and several 10-mile races and half-marathons. He has participated in several triathlons, the first of which was the Pocomoke Triathlon in 2009. He plans on competing in Ironman Maryland in 2015 along with two half-Ironman triathlons and Olympic distance triathlons.

Chris Llinas also uses his love of running to help various community organizations. Working through the Ironman Foundation, he raised more than $5,000 for Diakonia, a local homeless shelter and recovery house, in 2012 followed by another $2,000 for the Assateague Coastal Trust in 2014.
