Chris Sorrell

I'm happy to call the great state of Iowa my true home. I just recently moved across the Mississippi to Illinois for work and am excited about the opportunity for a new life experience, but ultimately Iowa is where my heart lies. I was born and raised there and graduated from the University of Iowa in 2008. My values were shaped by a city & state that I think emphasizes a sense of community. Individuality is of course important, you need to create a name for yourself, but being a participating member in a collective community serves a purpose too. I think Iowa allows for both, which to me seems uncommon. I try to take this mindset with me wherever I go and with whatever I do. I'm proud to be an Iowan.
