I grew just outside of Dallas in Carrollton, Texas and from a young age I have had a passion for sports. I quickly realized that I was not going to be a professional athlete, so I turned my focus to the next best thing, sports broadcasting/reporting.
I went to Oklahoma Christian University, in Oklahoma City and majored in Broadcast Journalism. There, I had the opportunity to call OC Men’s and Women’s Basketball games. While at OC, I also had the opportunity to intern at the Voice of America in Washington, D.C. I was the Sports Intern for the summer of 2008 and had the privilege to cover the Beijing Olympic Games from D.C. The main teams I focused on during the Games were the Men’s Basketball team and the Women’s Soccer team.

After graduation, I got married and started my life in Oklahoma City. From January of 2010 until November of 2012 I worked part time at BJ’s Restaurant and at KGFF Radio in Shawnee, OK calling high school sports.

I November of 2012, I was offered a management position at BJ’s and I was offered my first full time radio job. It was a tough decision but I chose to pursue my dream and accepted the radio position with Clear Channel Radio in Oklahoma City. One of the other reasons I accepted the position was because it allowed me to keep calling Shawnee High School football games.

My time at Clear Channel has been a learning experience. I have served as a News and Agriculture reporter and have been sent out on assignments. The most memorable assignment I have had was covering the aftermath of the deadly Moore, Oklahoma tornado in May of 2013.

While my time at Clear Channel has been great, I am still actively pursuing my passion for working in sports and I hope that this will help bring me closer to that goal.
