Lebanese-Canadian engineer Christian Kmeir is the indirect owner of GET Group, a Qatar-based enterprise he launched in 2005. The company is a pioneer in the country’s design and construction industry and offers a comprehensive range of groundbreaking engineering services. These services cover an array of specialties, including everything from structure, landscaping, design, and fit out to marine works.

GET Group is committed to acting as a trusted partner to its clients and has successfully led the construction and renovation of numerous projects, including overseeing restorations at Sheikh Ali Bin Abdullah Castle at Al Rayan. The company also oversaw the basalt tiling of Souk Wakif (a project covering a vast 80,000-square-meter area) and spearheaded the design and building of Al Messila Resort & VIP Spa at Al Rayan. The latter ambitious development project, located in the suburbs of Doha, covers a 132,000-square-meter area, and the completed resort is featured in the Michelin Guide. As well as rooms, suites, and villas, the resort incorporates two spas and wellness centers, waterways, plunge pools, and high-end restaurants.

Prior to establishing GET Group, Professor Kmeir held several important positions, working for prestigious companies and contributing to groundbreaking projects. Between 1994 and 2000 he worked for ENB Ltd Consulting Engineers, with responsibility for overseeing the initial stages of Lebanon’s National Emergency Recovery Program. This program involved the rehabilitation of wastewater facilities and water supplies in North and Mount Lebanon, including the rehabilitation of 190 reservoirs and water towers, the creation of 100 kilometers of sewer lines, and the construction or rehabilitation of 40 water treatment plants and stations.
