Christopher Best

During his tenure at Miami Palmetto Senior High School, Christopher Best increased enrollment in the band program by 200 percent. He instructed the jazz, wind, and beginning classes, as well as the advanced concert and marching ensembles. Dedicated to the success of his students, he helped multiple individuals garner Superior honors in their regional and state auditions. For his achievements as band director, Christopher Best received Rookie Teacher of the Year in 2012 and a Highly Effective Rating for three consecutive years.

He graduated from Florida International University with a BA and MA in music education. Looking forward, he aims to complete of doctor of musical arts degree in conducting.

Away from his teaching pursuits, Christopher Best enjoys competing in local and national bowling tournaments. Also a fan of basketball and football, he supports the Miami Heat and Dolphins. Additionally, he performs at the Kendall United Methodist Church and with the Greater Miami Symphonic Band.
