The executive director of Los Angeles’ Tri-City Educators since 2017, Christopher Bianco Arellano operates in conjunction with the Teachers Association of Norwalk La Mirada and Downey Educationa Association to organize and operate labor union chapters in service of California educators. Christopher Bianco Arellano’s specific responsibilities with Tri-City extend to the development of chapter service programs and the negotiation/maintenance of labor contracts. He also helps communicate specific policies and initiatives to professional groups and general populations outside of the educational/labor relations sector.

Christopher B Arellano formerly served as an area representative/organizer and a trainer with United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA). As a representative/organizer, he advocated on behalf of UTLA membership in a range of labor disputes and interventions. He also developed and/or coordinated a range of public campaigns and initiatives in the political arena. As a UTLA trainer, he created and led education programs on a variety of subjects. His courses included “Organizing for Power,” “Political Activism,” “Shared Decision Making,” and “Classroom Bill of Rights.”
