Ciro Stefano

Based in Albany, New York, Ciro Stefano holds the rank of colonel in the US Army and has a depth of experience as an educator and military operational planning and execution around the globe. In 2011 he began work as the department head and professor of military science at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts and was responsible for curricula in that field at a dozen colleges and universities. Following this, Ciro Stefano was hand-selected to lead the military science department at West Point, where he totally revamped the learning process before being assigned as the first-ever American Colonel to serve in the German army as a Division G3. There, under NATO auspices, Colonel Stefano was the chief operations officer for a division of the German army, the only American primary staff officer to ever hold such a post.

In July 2018, Colonel Stefano began serving as the Senior Army Advisor to the Adjutant General of the New York National Guard, and since August 2019, he has also been director of executive engagement and an advisory board member at Vets2Industry. In the latter position, Colonel Stefano assists military veterans navigating the process of obtaining and transitioning to meaningful employment in civilian life.

In May of 2020, Colonel Ciro Stefano will be inducted into the US Army Hall of Fame at Fort Benning, Georgia.

Ciro Stefano is a life member of the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division. He also belongs to the Military Officers Association of America.
