Claudia Amezcua is an award winning multimedia journalist with experience working in both local and national news.

She is a Digital News Producer representing NTV News the ABC affiliate covering Central and Western Nebraska.

Previously she freelanced as a Sr. Editor for M.U.S.E. a web based lifestyle, community, sports, technology, and entertainment news site.

She has also freelanced as a host and social media manager for KFON-TV, the City of Fontana’s community services cable channel. While working at KFON-TV, Claudia partnered with the City of Fontana’s marketing department in creating official hashtags as part of an ongoing rebranding campaign. She also trained staff on social media best practices and created a digital media kit for the channel.

Claudia has also freelanced with CNN which duties included the assignment desk, production assistant (entertainment/documentaries), and digital librarian.

Her passion lies in storytelling and finding creative ways to share those stories. She considers herself a “tech geek” who is always looking for a new gadget or online tool.

She is a member and chair of the Society of Professional Generation J community, the young journalists branch of SPJ. She is also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
